G-d abhors human sacrifice - Key Passages
There are several passages in Tanakh that clearly say that G-d abhors human sacrifices. This could be as we are created in the image of G-d. Leviticus 18:21 “‘ Do not give any of your children to be sacrificed to Molek , for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the Lord. Leviticus 20:2-5 “Say to the Israelites: ‘ Any Israelite or any foreigner residing in Israel who sacrifices any of his children to Molek is to be put to death .
