Did Isaiah prophesy that only a remnant Jews will go to heaven? ~ Cross reference of Romans 9:27 to Isaiah 10:20, Isaiah 1:2
"Salvation", Save", "Savior" in Tanakh ALWAYS means rescue from current physical & political danger. There are probably 3-4 passages that talk about life after death / hell. So you must understand that when Tanakh says savior, it means a person, group of people who will rescue a person or group of people from physical harm. The Greek text uses the same set of words but always mean, rescue from sins, life after death, heaven, hell. In this case Paul uses the word "saved" in the Greek text sense when the quoted passages in Isaiah 10 are about Assyria attacking Israel [10 Northern tribes] because they were exploiting the poor and needy. So Paul twists what the passages are talking about and says, that because Israel followed the law they failed while the gentiles who believed in Jesus have been saved. Let us examine each of the Passages that Paul quotes in context to see if what Paul claims about gentiles is true. All Images are links to Google Image...
