Seeking THE Truth

In Deuteronomy 15:11 G-d says, the poor will always be in the land and so you need to make sure you take care of them. Jesus said, the poor you will always have so this time you take care of me. Given he was going to die for the sins of all the people who believe in him, I guess it is a small ask. Only point I wish to make is the cross reference and what Jesus said do not agree. All the four gospels cover this event of Jesus being honored by a woman who pours an expensive perfume on Jesus. I already wrote about how the passage cross referenced by the Greek text is just the opposite of what Jesus said.  Click here to read why I made this statement. The context of this cross reference is that Jesus came to Bethany to the house of Simon the leper when a woman comes to him and pours alabaster perfume on his head. The disciples get angry that she wasted the oil when it could have been sold and used to feed the poor. Jesus tells them "The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me."
