Are Christians the temple of god? ~ Cross reference of 2 Corinthians 6:16 to Leviticus 26:12, Jeremiah 32:38, Ezekiel 37:27
Paul does not disappoint me here as well. All he does is take Israel out and inserts himself and the Christians into these passages from Tanakh. Paul claims that Christians are the temple of god and they should not associate themselves with non-believers or evil people. I would agree with him, but then he cross references Tanakh to assert that Christians being the temple of god is clearly stated in Tanakh. Paul also changes the word in Leviticus 26:12 from "your G-d" to "their god" to probably add Christians into this verse. Kind of sad don't you think? Let us review the cross referenced passages to see if there is anything that indicates that the Christians are the temple of god. All Images are links to Google Images.
