Greatest command? ~ Cross reference of Mark 12:30 to Deuteronomy 6:4

In these passages a teacher of the law comes to Jesus and tests him by asking what is the greatest command. Jesus as a good Jew says the Shema. I applaud him for that. We all need to worship the ONE TRUE G-D of the universe. Jesus quotes the Shema found in Deuteronomy 6 and the command to love your neighbors found in Leviticus 19. G-d gave his people 613 commandments, and 7 commandments for gentiles[Noahides]. Shema covers commandment 1 through 4 of the 10 commandments that G-d gave Israel on Mount Sanai. Commandments 5-10 cover relationship with fellow people. We will not commit any of the negative commands if we love our neighbor as ourselves. All Images are links to Google Images. My encouragement to you is that you read the whole chapter of Tanakh that the Greek text quotes so you get the context and understand what G-d actually said. G-d Bless and Seek ...
