Did Jeremiah prophesy that Christians should come out of Babylon? ~ Cross reference of Revelation 18:4 to Jeremiah 51:45
Revelation 18 hijacks a passage from Jeremiah 51 to say that Christians should come out of Babylon [probably come out of sinful living] so they can be saved. There is one other passage in Isaiah that G-d asks Israel to come out of the sinful nations and their practices and return to him. What bothers me is how can gentiles claim the promises of Israel and ignore the commands and curses that come if they do not obey the commands. Will leave this here as I am not sure by what right, the Greek text cherry picks verses and spiritualizes the passages ignoring the passages that clearly say what the original text was meant to convey to us.
