Will we be made righteous by faith? ~ Cross reference of Galatians 3:11 to Habakkuk 2:4

Paul cross references Habakkuk 2:4 to say that the righteous will be justified by faith. There are a couple of issues to this assertion. Habakkuk is not talking about faith in the messiah [Jesus]. he is talking about how the righteous people will live by the faith they have in G-d and the righteous life they are living. While Christians can pick 2-3 passages that are not clear what the faith in these passages are in or about, there are several clear passages that talk about righteousness coming from obeying the law. Romans is probably the last letter of Paul and the richest in terms of his theology. This letter is addressed to the Christians in Rome and is written before he gets to Rome. Paul states that after Jesus came and died and rose from the grave, only the ones who believe [have faith] in Jesus will be saved. Paul quotes Habakkuk 2:4 to say that G-d told us through the prophet Habakkuk some 700 years before he sent his son [Jesus] to die for us. Let us see what Habakkuk is all about and then decide if what Paul claims is right. All Images are links to Google Images. Copyright violations not intended.
