Seeking THE Truth

In Mark 13 Jesus is telling 4 disciples who ask him private when the end of days will happen. I think they expected a response something like "Well I will be back on 12th September, 0038 at 1412 Hours" but instead they get all the signs they will get to see before he comes back. He vouches on himself that before his disciples die he will come for sure. Mark cross reference Isaiah 13 & Isaiah 34 to show that this was prophesied by Isaiah about Jesus "Second coming" Mark 13:20 “If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them. 21 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe it. 22 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 23 So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time. 24 “But in those days, following that distress, “‘the ...

Jesus gives a detailed picture of how false prophets will come claiming to be Jesus. He encourages his disciples not to get deceived by them. He also paints a vivid picture of all the natural calamities that will fall on the people at the end times.  He then says in verse 30 that, suddenly he will come with power and great glory and the elect will be gathered. I think this is what Christians call "rapture". He uses Isaiah 13:9 & Isaiah 34:4 to say that this " dreadful day of Jesus " was prophesied by Isaiah.
