Was Jesus the high priest? ~ Cross reference of Hebrews 5:5-6 to Psalm 2:7, Psalm 110:4

Hebrews 5 continues to try and assert that Jesus is the high priest. Like I said in the post on Hebrews 3:11. I think this is a theology that Christians came up with to justify the dead messiah. So the confusion I see is that the gospels struggled hard to establish that Jesus is the messiah who came in the line of David [Judah] and here Hebrews tries to make Jesus come from the line of Aaron. If you read the 4 gospel, you will see the way the Christology of Jesus evolved. From being a human in Mark, you will see John having Jesus create the universe. Scholars believe Mark was the first gospel that was written around 70 CE, Matthew & Luke were written sometime in 85 CE and John was last to be written around 90 CE. In Mark Jesus is a human being and there is no virgin birth. Jesus becomes the son of god when he is baptized by John the dipper. Matthew and Luke make Jesus son of god through the virgin birth John has Jesus son of god from eternity Paul preached that Jesus became the son...

Did David prophecy that god will declare Jesus as his son? ~ Cross reference of Hebrews 1:5 to Psalm 2:7, 2 Samuel 7:14, 1 Chronicles 17:13

We do not know who wrote Hebrews, but looks like it was a student of Paul as you see a lot of his theological influence on the author. This letter is addressed to the Jews and so is quite rich in cross references to Tanakh. In this post we will cover if Psalm 2 is about god telling Jesus that today he has become the son of god. What is funny is the Author of Hebrew does a card switch trick here by making the Psalm as if god wrote it when the Psalm is written by David[most likely] and he is talking about G-d. In verse 7 David says G-d to him. All Images are links to Google Images. Copyright violations not intended. All Greek Text references are from NIV and Tanakh references are from Chabad. This post is not intended to offend anyone's faith but for those people who are Seeking the truth of THE ONE TRUE G-D of the universe to who we owe all our love, gratitude & devotion. My encouragement to you is that you read the whole chapter of Tanakh that the Greek text quotes so you get t...

None of the gospels had an author until 150 CE when then church father decided to tag names to each of the gospels. I don't mean to say that there was no contribution from these "authors". The word of mouth stories were passed on from groups of people till it was thought they should put them into writings. All the disciples were illiterate Aramaic spe...
