Is Jesus our bread that came down from heaven? ~ Cross reference of John 6:31 to Exodus 16:4

If you read Deuteronomy 13, G-d tells Israel how to identify a false prophet. The prophet must prophesy events that no one knows about and that event must happen. If it does not happen, he is a false prophet and he should be killed.

If the event does happen, the prophet should never talk about worshiping any other G-d but the ONE TRUE G-D of the universe. If he does, the prophet must be killed.

John asserts that the crowed said that Moses fed them Manna from heaven, when all passages in Exodus and Deuteronomy clearly say that G-d did these miracles and Moses was the agent.

Jesus then quotes three passages that call out what every Jew has believed in for 3500 years that G-d gave Israel manna from heaven and sustained them through the 40 years in the wilderness.

What does not align with Tanakh is Jesus's claim that the son has the power to give eternal life. Jesus claims that god gave him the power. unfortunately I am not aware of any passages in Tanakh that say that we need to believe in the messiah to be saved.

if you know of any passages that say the messiah will give eternal life if we believe in him, do share.

G-d is the only source of life both in this time and the age to come.

This post is not intended to offend anyone's faith but for those people who are Seeking the truth of THE ONE TRUE G-D of the universe to who we owe all our love, gratitude & devotion.

My encouragement to you is that you read the whole chapter of Tanakh that the Greek text quotes so you get the context and understand what G-d actually said.

G-d Bless and Seek THE Truth.

John 6:25 When they found him on the other side of the lake, they asked him, “Rabbi, when did you get here?” 26 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. 27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.” 28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” 29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” 30 So they asked him, “What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? 31 Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’[c]” 32 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

Exodus 16:4 So the Lord said to Moses, Behold! I am going to rain down for you bread from heaven, and the people shall go out and gather what is needed for the day, so that I can test them, whether or not they will follow My teaching.

Nehemiah 9:15 And bread from heaven You gave them for their hunger, and You took water out of a rock for them for their thirst, and You said to them to come to inherit the land that You raised Your hand to give them.

Psalm 78:24 He had rained upon them manna to eat, and He had given them corn of heaven. 25 Men ate the bread of the mighty; He sent them provisions for satisfaction.
