Is the law not based on Faith? ~ Cross reference of Galatians 3:12 to Leviticus 18:5
Paul makes a very wrong statement that the law is not based on faith. I believe his view is that anyone who keeps the law expects that G-d will bless them even if they don't believe, love, fear G-d.
This is a lie. There are several passages in Tanakh that talk about the blessings that G-d will give those who love him and keep his commands. The teaching of Tanakh is very consistent that one needs to have faith in G-d and show that faith my living to the standards of G-d's laws.

All Greek Text references are from NIV and Tanakh references are from Chabad.
My encouragement to you is that you read the whole chapter of Tanakh that the Greek text quotes so you get the context and understand what G-d actually said.
G-d Bless and Seek THE Truth.
Galatians 3:12 The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, “The person who does these things will live by them.”
Leviticus 18:5 You shall observe My statutes and My ordinances, which a man shall do and live by them. I am the Lord.
- Paul trying to say that one needs to keep the law mechanically and keep ticking off each law they keep is probably the most distorted view of keeping the laws of G-d.
- Just as parents give laws to their children for their own good, G-d gave us his laws for our own good and we need to keep these laws with joy and faith that his promise of blessings will come our way. This is by no means an attitude of entitlement but more a faith in a loving and just G-d.
- Multiple times in Tanakh clearly says, we need to love him and keep his laws. So where is the passivity in keeping the law and not having faith in the goodness of G-d.
