Proof Satan needed to know if Jesus was the son of god ~ Cross reference of Matthew 4:6 to Psalm 91:11
Psalm 91 is such a beautiful and reassuring Psalm which all of us use when we are headed out to do things that are challenging and uncertain.
What I also found strange is that Satan would be convinced if Jesus was saved by angels when he jumps of the temple top that he is indeed the son of god.
I can understand the value of a stone becoming bread and a Jew not worshipping anyone / anything but the ONE TRUE G-d of the universe but this jumping down 30 feet and being saved by angels was a bit odd.
This post is not intended to offend anyone's faith but for those people who are Seeking the truth of THE ONE TRUE G-D of the universe to who we owe all our love, gratitude & devotion.
My encouragement to you is that you read the whole chapter of Tanakh that the Greek text quotes so you get the context and understand what G-d actually said.
Psalm 91:11 For He will command His angels on your behalf to guard you in all your ways. 12 On [their] hands they will bear you, lest your foot stumble on a stone.
Consider the below points that I raise to see if Psalm 91 was given to us by David to tell this is how Satan will know that Jesus is the son of god.

G-d Bless and Seek THE Truth.
Matthew 4:6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’[c]”
Psalm 91:11 For He will command His angels on your behalf to guard you in all your ways. 12 On [their] hands they will bear you, lest your foot stumble on a stone.
- This is such a beautiful Psalm of David where he says how G-d will protect him from harm. We all pray this Psalm and as children of G-d who need G-d’s protection we need to do this daily.
- It conveys that those who look to G-d will get help when in trouble just like David did.
- G-d does many miracles in each of our lives where his protection saves us from harm and at times from death. When I look back at my life I can witness that G-d saved me from harm and even a few times from death. I get shivers when I think about those incidents and know that G-d saved my life.
- Would angels coming and picking up Jesus after he jumped have proved that he is the son of god?
- Most of the things in Psalm 91:15 did not happen with Jesus, he was crucified by Romans.
- The below verse is a problem for trinitarians. Why would god honor god and why would god give long life to god?
Psalm 91:15 He will call Me, and I shall answer him; I am with him in distress; I shall rescue him and I shall honor him. 16 With length of days I shall satiate him, and I shall show him My salvation.
