Did David say that he knew Jesus will raise from the grave? ~ Cross reference of 2 Corinthians 4:13 to Psalm 116:10
In Psalm 116 David is talking about himself. David is telling G-d his woes and says, he will ask G-d for help and G-d will answer. He also says he will proclaim the greatness of G-d among his people because he knows that G-d is his help.
Let us examine Psalm 116 to see if there is anything about faith in Jesus's resurrection.
This post is not intended to offend anyone's faith but for those people who are Seeking the truth of THE ONE TRUE G-D of the universe to who we owe all our love, gratitude & devotion.
My encouragement to you is that you read the whole chapter of Tanakh that the Greek text quotes so you get the context and understand what G-d actually said.
G-d Bless and Seek THE Truth.
2 Corinthians 4:13 It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak,
Psalm 116:10 I believed so that I spoke; I humble myself exceedingly.

I will call out some passages from this psalm and highlight sections that show this is about David and has nothing to do with Jesus, his resurrection or having faith in Jesus
- David is asking G-d to listen to his asks and believes G-d will listen to him.
- Psalm 116:1 I wished that the Lord would hear my voice [in] my supplications. 2 For He extended His ear to me, and I shall call out in my days.
- David in the below passages, calls out what his fears and ask from G-d is.
- Psalm 116:3 [When] bands of death surrounded me and the boundaries of the grave befell me, and I found trouble and grief, 4 And I called out in the name of the Lord, "Please, O Lord, save my soul! 5 The Lord is gracious and righteous, and our God is merciful. 6 The Lord protects the simple; when I was poor, He saved me.
- In the below passages, David is saying G-d heard him and saved him and he will live in the land of the living. This is very clearly not about Jesus dying and "rising from the grave" - The message that Paul is talking about.
- Psalm 116:7 Return, my soul, to your rest, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you. 8 For You have rescued my soul from death, my eye from tears, and my foot from stumbling. 9 I shall walk before the Lord in the lands of the living.
- David here is saying that he speaks out with confidence that G-d is his savior and men are but liars. Here again you see David saying that G-d is his salvation. David then says that he cannot repay G-d for his help but he will fulfill his vows to G-d among his people.
- Psalm 116:10 I believed so that I spoke; I humble myself exceedingly. 11 I said in my haste, "All men are liars." 12 How can I repay the Lord for all His favors upon me? 13 I shall lift up a cup of salvations, and I shall call out in the name of the Lord. 14 I shall pay my vows to the Lord now in the presence of all His people. 15 Difficult in the eyes of the Lord is the death of His pious ones. 16 Please, O Lord, for I am Your servant; I am Your servant the son of Your maidservant; You have loosed my thongs. 17 To You I shall slaughter a thanksgiving offering, and I shall call out in the name of the Lord. 18 I shall pay my vows to the Lord now in the presence of all His people, 19 In the courtyards of the house of the Lord, in your midst, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
