Did G-d restrict gentiles from eating unclean animals? ~ Cross reference of 1 Corinthians 10:26 to Psalms 24:1
Why does Paul tell gentile Christians that they can eat any meat. G-d never gave any restrictions to the gentiles. Was Paul addressing the Jews who believed in Jesus? I guess Paul was addressing this issue as Jews in Corinth would have insisted that eating unclean animals is not OK.
Anyway not a big issue for me here as this has nothing to do with theology as gentiles can anyway eat anything they want. G-d only gave kosher requirements to Israel.
Only thing I can do is see if the Psalm he quoted is talking about any dietary law

All Greek Text references are from NIV and Tanakh references are from Chabad.
My encouragement to you is that you read the whole chapter of Tanakh that the Greek text quotes so you get the context and understand what G-d actually said.
G-d Bless and Seek THE Truth.
1 Corinthians 10:26 for, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.”
Psalm 24:1 Of David, a song. The land and the fullness thereof are the Lord's; the world and those who dwell therein.
- Paul quoting Psalm 24 is meaningless and out of context as this Psalm has nothing to do with dietary law
- All David is talking about is how great G-d is and that he is the creator of the whole universe.
- David also is talking about how the righteous people will be blessed by G-d.
- Like I said this is not a big issue in the first place. But the Greek text quotes verses from Tanakh to get support for the statements they make and at times it is sad to see them doing it out of context.
