Finally Paul found a prophecy that Isaiah made about him ~ Cross reference of Romans 15:21 to Isaiah 52:15
I am so happy for Paul. He has found a prophecy about himself in Tanakh. I was just kidding, Isaiah 52 has nothing to do with the gospel of Jesus or Paul being the messenger that is taking the gospel to nations and people that have never heard the good news.
Let us review Isaiah 52 to see what Isaiah was talking about.

All Greek Text references are from NIV and Tanakh references are from Chabad.
This post is not intended to offend anyone's faith but for those people who are Seeking the truth of THE ONE TRUE G-D of the universe to who we owe all our love, gratitude & devotion.
My encouragement to you is that you read the whole chapter of Tanakh that the Greek text quotes so you get the context and understand what G-d actually said.
G-d Bless and Seek THE Truth.
Romans 15:21 Rather, as it is written: “Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand.”
Isaiah 52:15 So shall he cast down many nations; kings shall shut their mouths because of him, for, what had not been told them they saw, and [at] what they had not heard they gazed.
- Isaiah 52 is an amazing chapter that talks about how G-d is going to restore Israel. This is also the go to passage for Christians to say that this is clearly about Jesus. Hope one day we will get to this passage and show why Isaiah 52-53 has nothing to do with Jesus.
- The very first verse clearly states it that it is talking about Israel.
- Isaiah 52:1 Awaken, awaken, put on your strength, O Zion; put on the garments of your beauty, Jerusalem the Holy City, for no longer shall the uncircumcised or the unclean continue to enter you.
- If you read verse 9 you will understand why the kings of the gentile nations will shut their mouth when they see what they were not told about or what they gazed at what they had not heard.
- Isaiah 52:9 Burst out in song, sing together, O ruins of Jerusalem, for the Lord has consoled His people; He has redeemed Jerusalem.
- Personally I don't see anything about gentile nations being preached the good news about Jesus here. Let me know if you see it somewhere.
