Why do Christians need to stay pure if Jesus died for them? ~ Cross references of 1 Corinthians 10:6 to Exodus 32:6

Paul quotes various historical events that happened with Israel after coming out of Egypt and were in the wilderness to tell the people in Corinth that they should not be like them. What he said is right.

This is true for everyone to obey G-ds laws. What confuses me is if Christians have to obey the law to be saved, why do they need to still believe in Jesus?

Also Paul says that we are not under the law to be saved and once saved always saved, then why does he ask the church in Corinth not to do the things that Israel did?

What confuses me about Christianity is
  • Christians still have to live a righteous life [obey the law]
  • They are not under the law and need not keep the law [it is optional to be saved]
  • They need to believe in Jesus and their sins are forgiven [how do they know their sins are forgiven?]
  • They worship Jesus as god [which is idolatry]
  • They will go to heaven when Jesus returns [how do they know]
  • I guess this is what Paul calls "faith in things unseen"

This post is not intended to offend anyone's faith but for those people who are Seeking the truth of THE ONE TRUE G-D of the universe to who we owe all our love, gratitude & devotion.

My encouragement to you is that you read the whole chapter of Tanakh that the Greek text quotes so you get the context and understand what G-d actually said.

G-d Bless and Seek THE Truth.

1 Corinthians 10:6 Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did. 7 Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: “The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.” 8 We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did—and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died. 9 We should not test Christ, as some of them did—and were killed by snakes. 10 And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel.

Exodus 32:6 On the next day they arose early, offered up burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings, and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and they got up to make merry.

Numbers 25:7 Phinehas the son of Eleazar the son of Aaron the kohen saw this, arose from the congregation, and took a spear in his hand. 8 He went after the Israelite man into the chamber and drove [it through] both of them; the Israelite man, and the woman through her stomach, and the plague ceased from the children of Israel. 9 Those that died in the plague numbered twenty four thousand.

Numbers 21:5 The people spoke against God and against Moses, "Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in this desert, for there is no bread and no water, and we are disgusted with this rotten bread." 6 The Lord sent against the people the venomous snakes, and they bit the people, and many people of Israel died. 7 The people came to Moses and said, "We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord and against you. Pray to the Lord that He remove the snakes from us." So Moses prayed on behalf of the people.

Numbers 11:33 The meat was still between their teeth; it was not yet finished, and the anger of the Lord flared against the people, and the Lord struck the people with a very mighty blow.
