Blood should not be consumed - Key Passages



Genesis 9:3 Every moving thing that lives shall be yours to eat; like the green vegetation, I have given you everything. 4 But, flesh with its soul, its blood, you shall not eat.

Leviticus 7:26 And you shall not eat any blood in any of your dwelling places, whether from birds or from animals. 25 For anyone who eats fat of animals from which sacrifices are brought as fire offerings to the Lord, the soul who eats [it] shall be cut off from its people.

Leviticus 17:10 If anyone of the house of Israel or of the aliens who reside among them eats any blood, I will set my face against that person who eats blood, and will cut that person off from the people. 11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you for making atonement for your lives on the altar; for, as life, it is the blood that makes atonement. 12 Therefore I have said to the people of Israel: No person among you shall eat blood, nor any alien who resides among you eat blood. 13 And any one of the people of Israel, or of the aliens who reside among them, who hunts down an animal or bird that may be eaten shall pour out its blood and cover it with earth. 14 For the life of every creature - its blood is its life; therefore I have said to the people of Israel: You shall not eat the blood of any creature, for the life of every creature is its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off. 

Leviticus 19:26 You shall not eat over the blood. You shall not act on the basis of omens or lucky hours.

Leviticus 3:17 “‘This is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live: You must not eat any fat or any blood.’”

Leviticus 7:26 And wherever you live, you must not eat the blood of any bird or animal.

Leviticus 7:27 Anyone who eats blood must be cut off from their people.’”

Joshua is the prophet like Moses

Deuteronomy 18:14  For these nations, which you are to possess, hearken to diviners of [auspicious] times and soothsayers, but as for you, the Lord, your God, has not given you [things] like these. ~  This passage says that the nations seek witchcraft and other evil ways to find out solutions for their questions but Israel should not but follow the prophet that G-d will setup for them after Moses is not there  Deuteronomy 18:18  I will set up a prophet for them from among their brothers like you, and I will put My words into his mouth, and he will speak to them all that I command him. 19 And it will be, that whoever does not hearken to My words that he speaks in My name, I will exact [it] of him.~  This passage in context is telling the people that the prophet who is setup in place of Moses will guide them and they have to obey him else G-d will punish the offenders.  Numbers 27:14  Because you disobeyed My command in the desert of Zin when the congregation quarreled, [when you were] t

Did the "The abomination that causes desolation" happen yet? ~ Cross reference of Matthew 24:15 to Daniel 9:26

In Matthew 24 Jesus prophesies about the destruction of the temple. When his disciples ask Jesus when he will return at the end of the age, I think they were asking when he will return after being resurrected, he says he does not know and only god knows. Matthew was written around 80 CE and the temple was destroyed in 70 CE. Do we call this prophecy or history? Jesus does however share details of the things that will happen between his resurrection and his return. He talks about false prophets coming and claiming that they are Jesus, natural calamities that will occur and finally "the abomination that causes desolation" will have to occur. In verse 29 Jesus says after all these things have happened, immediately he will come and everyone on the earth will see him coming in the clouds with his angels.
