Will god wipe away tears from Christians? ~ Cross reference of Revelation 21:4 to Isaiah 25:8
Revelation 21:4 I think is asserting that anyone who believes in Jesus will be saved and god will wipe away the tears from all the believers of Jesus. I think the belief is that anyone who does not believe in Jesus will first be thrown into hell and then the belivers get to live happily ever after on the new earth or in heaven.
What I fear is that by believing that Jesus will save us from sins may be we are offending G-d because in Tanakh, G-d time and again says, repent and come to me and I will forgive your sins.
That aside, this false claim that this promise in Isaiah is for people who accept Jesus is not right. The Passage is clear that this promise is for those who worship the ONE TRUE G-d of the universe and give glory to none else.

All Greek Text references are from NIV and Tanakh references are from Chabad.
My encouragement to you is that you read the whole chapter of Tanakh that the Greek text quotes so you get the context and understand what G-d actually said.
G-d Bless and Seek THE Truth.
Revelation 21:4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
Isaiah 25:8 He has concealed the death forever, and the Lord God shall wipe the tears off every face, and the shame of His people He shall remove from upon the entire earth, for the Lord has spoken.
- If you read Isaiah 25 in context you will see that Isaiah is talking about how powerful G-d is and how he has laid waste the cities of the tyrants and how the powerful fear him
- Isaiah 25:2 For You made from a city a heap, a fortified city into a ruin; a palace of strangers, because of the city, it shall never be rebuilt. 3 Therefore, shall a strong people honor You; a city of tyrannical nations shall fear You.
- Isaiah says that G-d is a help to the poor and protection for them from the tyrants
- Isaiah 25:4 For You were a fortress for the poor, a fortress for the pauper in time of his distress, a shelter from pouring rain, a shade from heat, for the spirit of the tyrants is like a flood against a wall. 5 Like heat in the dry season, a multitude of strangers You shall humble; like heat with a thick cloud, so shall the downfall of the tyrants be sung.
- Isaiah then talks about how G-d will restore Israel and make them higher than all the gentile nations.
- Isaiah 25:6 And the Lord of Hosts shall make for all the peoples on this mount, a feast of fat things, a feast of dregs; fat things full of marrow, dregs well refined. 7 And He shall destroy on this mountain the face of the covering that covers all the peoples and the kingdom that rules over all the nations.
- There is nothing about spiritual beings or people need to believe in the messiah. This entire chapter is about THE ONE TRUE G-D of the universe.
- In verse 8 that John quotes, Isaiah says G-d will remove the death from the earth and Israel's shame will be removed [will be lifted up]
- Most rabbinic teachings refer to this as death due to wars as multiple times Tanakh talks about no wars.
- Isaiah 25:8 He has concealed the death forever, and the Lord God shall wipe the tears off every face, and the shame of His people He shall remove from upon the entire earth, for the Lord has spoken.
