Joshua is the prophet like Moses
Deuteronomy 18:14 For these nations, which you are to possess, hearken to diviners of [auspicious] times and soothsayers, but as for you, the Lord, your God, has not given you [things] like these. ~ This passage says that the nations seek witchcraft and other evil ways to find out solutions for their questions but Israel should not but follow the prophet that G-d will setup for them after Moses is not there
Numbers 27:14 Because you disobeyed My command in the desert of Zin when the congregation quarreled, [when you were] to sanctify Me through the water before their eyes; these were the waters of dispute at Kadesh, in the desert of Zin. 15 Moses spoke to the Lord, saying: 16 "Let the Lord, the God of spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation, 17 who will go forth before them and come before them, who will lead them out and bring them in, so that the congregation of the Lord will not be like sheep without a shepherd." 18 The Lord said to Moses, "Take for yourself Joshua the son of Nun, a man of spirit, and you shall lay your hand upon him. ~ Moses is told he cannot enter the land. Moses asks for a person who will lead the people and G-d tells him Joshua would be that person. So clear
Deuteronomy 27:19 And you shall present him before Eleazar the kohen and before the entire congregation, and you shall command him in their presence. 20 You shall bestow some of your majesty upon him so that all the congregation of the children of Israel will take heed. 21 He shall stand before Eleazar the kohen and seek [counsel from] him through the judgment of the Urim before the Lord. By his word they shall go, and by his word they shall come; he and all Israel with him, and the entire congregation." 22 Moses did as the Lord had commanded him, and he took Joshua and presented him before Eleazar the kohen and before the entire congregation. 23 He laid his hands upon him and commanded him, in accordance with what the Lord had spoken to Moses. ~ G-d is telling Moses to anoint Joshua. Tells Moses to place some of his majesty on Joshua. G-d also clearly tells that the people should follow Joshua
Deuteronomy 31:7 And Moses called Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, "Be strong and courageous! For you shall come with this people to the land which the Lord swore to their forefathers to give them. And you shall apportion it to them as an inheritance. ~ Moses declares Joshua as his successor in front of all Israel
Deuteronomy 31:14 And the Lord said to Moses, "Behold, your days are approaching [for you] to die. Call Joshua and stand in the Tent of Meeting, and I will inspire him. So Moses and Joshua went, and stood in the Tent of Meeting. ~ G-d tells Moses that he will die soon and clearly tells that Joshua will take over.
Deuteronomy 32:7 And Moses called Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, "Be strong and courageous! For you shall come with this people to the land which the Lord swore to their forefathers to give them. And you shall apportion it to them as an inheritance. ~ Moses is telling Joshua that he will be the one that leads Israel into the land and fight for them
Deuteronomy 34:9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, because Moses had laid his hands upon him. And the children of Israel obeyed him, and they did as the Lord had commanded Moses. ~ Clear as day that Joshua succeeded Moses and all Israel obeyed him
Joshua 1:17 Just as we obeyed Moses in everything, so shall we obey you. Only that the Lord your God be with you as He was with Moses. 18 Every man that shall rebel against your words and will not listen to your commands in all that you order him shall be put to death. Only be strong and have courage.
Joshua 3:7 And the Lord said to Joshua, “Today I will begin to exalt you in the eyes of all Israel, so they may know that I am with you as I was with Moses.~ G-d himself is speaking here that Joshua will be like Moses
Joshua 4:14 That day the Lord exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they stood in awe of him all the days of his life, just as they had stood in awe of Moses. ~ G-d exalted Joshua & Joshua indeed was able to succeed Moses and the people were in Awe of him
