Did Jesus speak in Parables so people should not understand and be saved? ~ Cross reference of Matthew 13:15 to Isaiah 6:9

Jesus's disciples come to him in private and ask him why he speaks in parables. This happens when they are clueless about the parable of the farmer who sows seeds and some fall in the fertile ground, some among bushes, some on the wayside.

Jesus says that he teaches in parables so people will not understand repent and & be saved. Parables are always used to make things easier for the listener to understand. If Jesus came to die for peoples sins, should have not have taught in a way so that people understand and repent and be saved?

Tanakh never talks about the messiah coming to teach people about G-d, G-d's kingdom, himself, do miracles, heal / feed people. He will come during the messianic age when everyone knows about G-d and they will all worship the ONE TRUE G-D.

Let us see if what Matthew quoted as a cross reference is correct.

This post is not intended to offend anyone's faith but for those people who are Seeking the truth of THE ONE TRUE G-D of the universe to who we owe all our love, gratitude & devotion.

My encouragement to you is that you read the whole chapter of Tanakh that the Greek text quotes so you get the context and understand what G-d actually said.

G-d Bless and Seek THE Truth.

Matthew 13:15 For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’[a]

Isaiah 6:9 And He said, "Go and say to this people, 'Indeed you hear, but you do not understand; indeed you see, but you do not know.' 10 This people's heart is becoming fat, and his ears are becoming heavy, and his eyes are becoming sealed, lest he see with his eyes, and hear with his ears, and his heart understand, and he repent and be healed."

  1. Isaiah 6 is actually the beginning of Isaiah's prophecy to Judah but it is placed as the 6th chapter by the Rabbi's as this chapter has a very harsh message that would not be a good start for the people.
  2. Matthew uses Isaiah 6:8-9 to prove that Isaiah prophesied this that 700 years later Jesus will teach in Parables and the people will not understand and repent and be saved because their ears are heavy, heart is stubborn, and eyes are sealed.
  3. The context of Isaiah 6 is that the people were doing evil [Isaiah 1 has details about the evil that Judah was doing] and G-d needs them punished and does not want them to repent. G-d tells Isaiah that the people will be exiled.
  4. When Isaiah asks G-d until when he will be angry with the people, G-d tells that the people will be exiled and cities will be desolate and the ground will lay waste and desolate. G-d also say that he will keep a remnant of good people for himself.
  5. This prophecy is fulfilled when Nebuchadnezzar attacked Jerusalem and destroyed the temple and took the people as captives to Babylon. Matthew taking this as a cross reference for Jews rejecting Jesus makes no sense.
