Did Amos prophesy that Paul will bring the gentiles to Jesus? ~ Cross reference of Acts 15:16 to Amos 9:11
If you read Acts 15:1 Luke states that some Jews from Judea came to Antioch and preached that "“Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved”. I think the Jerusalem Church believed that to be a follower of Jesus one needs to convert to Judaism. In a simple sense you still worship the ONE TRUE G-D of the universe and keep his laws.
Probably this bothered Paul as he was teaching the gentiles that you don't have to be circumcised or keep the law anymore but all you need to do is believe that Jesus died for you and rose from the grave and you will be saved.
This bring him to Jerusalem, James calls out how Cornelius & his family accepted Jesus as lord and were saved, now Paul is being used to bring many more gentiles to believe in Jesus. He quotes Amos to say that Amos prophesied that the gospel of Jesus will be preached to gentiles and they will accept Jesus as their lord and savior and be saved.
Let us see if Amos prophesied all these things 700 years before this event in Acts 15.

Acts 15:12 The whole assembly became silent as they listened to Barnabas and Paul telling about the signs and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them. 13 When they finished, James spoke up. “Brothers,” he said, “listen to me. 14 Simon[a] has described to us how God first intervened to choose a people for his name from the Gentiles. 15 The words of the prophets are in agreement with this, as it is written: 16 “‘After this I will return and rebuild David’s fallen tent. Its ruins I will rebuild, and I will restore it, 17 that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, even all the Gentiles who bear my name, says the Lord, who does these things’[b] 18 things known from long ago.[c]
Amos 9:11 On that day, I will raise up the fallen Tabernacle of David, and I will close up their breaches, and I will raise up its ruins, and build it up as in the days of yore. 12 In order that they inherit the remnant of Edom and all the nations because My Name is called upon them, says the Lord Who does this.

- Amos 9:9 For, behold I command, and I will scatter the house of Israel among all the nations; as it is shaken in a sieve, and not a coarse particle falls to the earth.
- In Amos 9:8 G-d says this will be the fate of Israel but Judah [2 southern tribes] he will protect.
