Did David say that Jesus created the heavens and earth? ~ Cross reference of Hebrews 1:12 to Psalm 102:25
Hebrews 1:12 I think is still talking about Jesus. But I am not clear why the author thinks that Jesus created the heavens and the earth and pretty much the whole universe. He quotes Psalm 102. I don't think this is true but let us see what Psalm 102 is all about.

Hebrews 1:12 You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same, and your years will never end.”
Psalm 102:25 I say, "My God, do not take me away in the middle of my days, You Whose years endure throughout all generations. 26 In the beginning You founded the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. 27 They will perish but You will endure, and all of them will rot away like a garment; like raiment You will turn them over and they will pass away.
- If you read the first verse of Psalm 102 you will see that it is talking about a poor man[probably David] calling out to G-d. There should not be any ambiguity as the word used is the tetragrammaton. Even by the definition of trinity, they cannot be interchanged.
- Psalm 102:1 A prayer for a poor man when he enwraps himself and pours out his speech before the Lord.
- From verses 2-12 the Psalmist talks about his current state and how helpless he is. Jesus was a star during his time. Only the last few days he was in trouble. [Please read these passages and you can relate to them as any human can]
- If you read verse 14 it is clear that the Psalmist is asking G-d to rescue Zion and Jerusalem. Jesus never rescued Jerusalem. After his time, Jerusalem was destroyed.
- Psalm 102:14 You will rise, You will have mercy on Zion for there is a time to favor it, for the appointed season has arrived.
