Does Tanakh say that god will adopt gentiles into his covenant through Jesus ~ Cross reference of Romans 15:9-12 to 2 Samuel 22:50, Psalm 18:49, Deuteronomy 32:43, Psalm 117:1, Isaiah 11:10

I guess he means to say that Jesus is the promised messiah and if anyone believes in him will become part of the covenant that G-d made with Israel.
What bothers me is that G-d made a covenant with Israel and said this nation will be his chosen people for ever and they will be a light to the nations. There is no mention in the Tanakh that all the nations who believe in Jesus will be part of G-d's covenant with Israel.

This post is not intended to offend anyone's faith but for those people who are Seeking the truth of THE ONE TRUE G-D of the universe to who we owe all our love, gratitude & devotion.
My encouragement to you is that you read the whole chapter of Tanakh that the Greek text quotes so you get the context and understand what G-d actually said.
G-d Bless and Seek THE Truth.
Romans 15:9 and, moreover, that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written: “Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing the praises of your name.” 10 Again, it says, “Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people.” 11 And again, “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; let all the peoples extol him.” 12 And again, Isaiah says, “The Root of Jesse will spring up, one who will arise to rule over the nations; in him the Gentiles will hope.”
2 Samuel 22:50 Therefore I will give thanks to You, O' Lord, among the nations, and to your name I will sing praises.

Deuteronomy 32:43 Sing out praise, O you nations, for His people! For He will avenge the blood of His servants, inflict revenge upon His adversaries, and appease His land [and] His people.
Psalm 117:1 Praise the Lord, all nations, laud Him, all peoples.
Isaiah 11:10 And it shall come to pass on that day, that the root of Jesse, which stands as a banner for peoples, to him shall the nations inquire, and his peace shall be [with] honor.
2 Samuel 22
- This is a song that David wrote about how G-d helped him from his enemies and Saul
- David through the rest of the passages in this chapter talks about how G-d helped him defeat the nations that rose against him.
- He calls out that G-d is just and helps the humble and poor and punished the arrogant and wicked.
- The passage that Paul quotes defeats his purpose as all that this verse is saying that David will sing praises among the nations that he has subdued.
- 2 Samuel 22:38 I have pursued my enemies and have destroyed them; Never turning back until they were consumed. 39 And I have consumed them, and I have crushed them that they cannot rise; Yes, they are fallen under my feet. 40 For You have girded me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those that rose up against me. 41 And of my enemies You have given me the back of their necks; them that hate me, that I may cut them off. 42 They looked about, but there was no one to save them; [Even] to the Lord, but He answered them not.
- Below passages that lead to the quoted passage clearly show that the nations David is talking about are his enemies that he has crushed.
- 2 Samul 22:46 The strangers will wilt, and become lame from their bondage. 48 The God who takes vengeance for me; And brings down peoples under me. 49 And that brings me forth from my enemies; And above those that rise against me, You have lifted me; from the violent man You deliver me.
- This is the same song that 2 Samuel 22 has so the above points apply
- If anyone reads the whole chapter, they will see that Paul quoting verse 43 to say that the nations will rejoice because they have become a part of g-d's covenant is just a lie.
- Moses first recalls how G-d took care of Israel for 40 years through the wilderness and protected them from all harm
- Deuteronomy 32:9 Because the Lord's portion is His people Jacob, the lot of His inheritance. 10 He found them in a desert land, and in a desolate, howling wasteland. He encompassed them and bestowed understanding upon them; He protected them as the pupil of His eye. 11 As an eagle awakens its nest, hovering over its fledglings, it spreads its wings, taking them and carrying them on its pinions. 12 [So] the Lord guided them alone, and there was no alien deity with Him.
- Moses then prophesies about how Israel will move away from G-d and will worship idols.
- Deuteronomy 32:15 And Jeshurun became fat and rebelled; you grew fat, thick and rotund; [Israel] forsook the God Who made them, and spurned the [Mighty] Rock of their salvation. 16 They provoked His zeal with alien worship; they made Him angry with abominations deeds. 17 They sacrificed to demons, which have no power, deities they did not know, new things that only recently came, which your forefathers did not fear.
- Then Moses prophesies that G-d will use the gentile nations to punish them for defying and moving away from such a loving G-d.
- Deuteronomy 32:21 They have provoked My jealousy with a non god, provoked My anger with their vanities. Thus, I will provoke their jealousy with a non people, provoke their anger with a foolish nation. 23 I will link evils upon them. I will use up My arrows on them.
- Moses then prophesies that G-d will save Israel, because these gentile nations will think that they on their own strength were able to destroy G-d's people and not realize that G-d was punishing Israel through them. Moses also says that these nations will go to the extreme because these nations are ruthless in their punishment to Israel.
- Deuteronomy 32:27 Were it not that the enemy's wrath was heaped up, lest their adversaries distort; lest they claim, "Our hand was triumphant! The Lord did none of this!" 28 For they are a nation devoid of counsel, and they have no understanding. 29 If they were wise, they would understand this; they would reflect upon their fate. 30 How can one [person] pursue a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, unless their [Mighty] Rock has sold them out, and the Lord has given them over?
- The passage that Paul quotes just says the opposite, it says let the nations rejoice for Israel as from now G-d will avenge the nations for the evil that they did to Israel.
- Deuteronomy 32:43 Sing out praise, O you nations, for His people! For He will avenge the blood of His servants, inflict revenge upon His adversaries, and appease His land [and] His people.
- This is probably the shortest chapter in Tanakh. Just 2 verses. All it says is let all the nations praise G-d for his kindness.
- Paul using this to say let the nations praise god because he sent Jesus for the gentiles is fair. So can anyone else use this passage for their own belief.
- Isaiah 11 is a prophecy of the messiah. There are 9 other clear passages that Tanakh has about the messiah. Each of these 9 passages have markers like "David", "King", "Ruler", "Bring peace" etc
- This passage cannot be about Jesus as Christians believe Jesus is god. How can god fear god?
- Isaiah 11:3 And he shall be animated by the fear of the Lord, and neither with the sight of his eyes shall he judge, nor with the hearing of his ears shall he chastise.
- None of the below things happened after Jesus came and left. Christians claim Jesus will do all these things when he comes back, but neither does the Tanakh talk about the messiah making 2 trips and revelations paints a different picture for Jesus when he comes back.
- Isaiah 11:4 And he shall judge the poor justly, and he shall chastise with equity the humble of the earth, and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth and with the breath of his lips he shall put the wicked to death. 5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faith the girdle of his loins. 6 And a wolf shall live with a lamb, and a leopard shall lie with a kid; and a calf and a lion cub and a fatling [shall lie] together, and a small child shall lead them. 7 And a cow and a bear shall graze together, their children shall lie; and a lion, like cattle, shall eat straw. 8 And an infant shall play over the hole of an old snake and over the eyeball of an adder, a weaned child shall stretch forth his hand. 9 They shall neither harm nor destroy on all My holy mount, for the land shall be full of knowledge of the Lord as water covers the sea bed.
- The passage that Paul quotes say that the nations will look to him for guidance and he will tell them what to do. This is yet to happen and hope happens during our time.
- One of the tasks that Isaiah 11 talks about is that the messiah will gather all the tribes back to Israel. Jesus never did this either. On the contrary after he came all the tribes were dispersed into the four corners of the globe.
- Isaiah 11:12 And He shall raise a banner to the nations, and He shall gather the lost of Israel, and the scattered ones of Judah He shall gather from the four corners of the earth.
