Was Jesus faithful to the one who appointed him? ~ Cross reference of Hebrews 3:5 to Numbers 12:7

Hebrews make an assertion that Just as Moses was faithful to G-d, Jesus also was faithful to god. Only issue I see is there is no passage in Tanakh that has this mentioned clearly about Jesus.

Cannot justify this claim of Hebrews but will call out for you some passages from Tanakh that show that G-d chose Moses for a task and G-d made it clear as day that Moses was appointed by G-d and everyone that Moses need to lead was told to follow Moses.

Sad that you will not find any such passages about Jesus in Tanakh.

This post is not intended to offend anyone's faith but for those people who are Seeking the truth of THE ONE TRUE G-D of the universe to who we owe all our love, gratitude & devotion.

My encouragement to you is that you read the whole chapter of Tanakh that the Greek text quotes so you get the context and understand what G-d actually said.

G-d Bless and Seek THE Truth.

Hebrews 3:5 “Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house,” bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future.

Numbers 12:7 Not so is My servant Moses; he is faithful throughout My house.

  • If you read Numbers 12 in context you will see that Miriam & Aaron question Moses for marrying a Cushite woman. They use this as an excuse to say Moses married outside Israel and hence Moses is not perfect. Their argument was that if Moses is not perfect, then why does he alone get to hear from G-d.
    • Numbers 12:1 Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses regarding the Cushite woman he had married, for he had married a Cushite woman. 2 They said, "Has the Lord spoken only to Moses? Hasn't He spoken to us too?" And the Lord heard.
  • The next set of passages are about how G-d chastises Miriam and Aaron and G-d afflicts Miriam with tzara'ath.
    • Numbers 12:10 The cloud departed from above the Tent, and behold, Miriam was afflicted with tzara'ath, [as white] as snow. Then Aaron turned to Miriam and behold, she was afflicted with tzara'ath.
  • In this context G-d explains to Miriam & Aaron that Moses is the most humble person and that he talks to him face to face meaning that Moses in not in a trance or sleep but he is wide awake.
  • What is the need to compare this to Jesus as Christians believe Jesus was next to god from eternity and would have talked face to face.
