Seeking THE Truth

Tanakh consistently uses a style where the angel that is sent to the human to convey a message, speaks on behalf of G-d in a way that it seems like the angel has the power to make the promise happen. It almost seems  G-d has come down to the human and is speaking to the human. These passages are telling that this is what G-d told me to tell you and it will happen. Genesis 16:10  And the angel of the Lord said to her , " I will greatly multiply your seed, and it will not be counted for abundance. " - This is the event where an angel makes a promise to multiply Hagar's seed on behalf of G-d. Genesis 18:1 Now the Lord appeared to him in the plains of Mamre , and he was sitting at the entrance of the tent when the day was hot. 2 And he lifted his eyes and saw, and behold, three men were standing beside him , and he saw and he ran toward them from the entrance of the tent, and he prostrated himself to the ground. 10 And he said, " I will surely return to you at this time

Genesis 49:8 Judah, [as for] you, your brothers will acknowledge you. Your hand will be at the nape of your enemies, [and] your father's sons will prostrate themselves to you. 10 The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the student of the law from between his feet, until Shiloh comes, and to him will be a gathering of peoples. Numbers 24:17 I see it, but not now; I behold it, but not soon. A star has gone forth from Jacob, and a staff will arise from Israel which will crush the princes of Moab and uproot all the sons of Seth. 18 Edom shall be possessed, and Seir shall become the possession of his enemies, and Israel shall triumph. 19 A ruler shall come out of Jacob, and destroy the remnant of the city." Genesis 9:3 Every moving thing that lives shall be yours to eat; like the green vegetation, I have given you everything. 4 But, flesh with its soul, its blood, you shall not eat. Leviticus 7:26  And you shall not eat any blood in any of your dwelling places , whether from birds or from animals. 25 For anyone who eats fat of animals from which sacrifices are brought as fire offerings to the Lord, the soul who eats [it] shall be cut off from its people. Genesis 5:22 And Enoch walked with God after he had begotten Methuselah, three hundred years, and he begot sons and daughters. 24 And Enoch walked with God, and he was no longer, for God had taken him . Genesis 7:1 And the Lord said to Noah, "Come into the ark, you and all your household, for it is you that I have seen as a righteous man before Me in this generation.

G-d is a spirit and cannot be seen as a human being or anything that is a created being. Any form of worship of a created being is idolatry. Genesis 3:8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God going in the garden to the direction of the sun , and the man and his wife hid from before the Lord God in the midst of the trees of the garden. - This passage is mistranslated in the Greek text to say that Adam heard god walking in the garden of Eden and from this they say that god has feet and he came regularly to walk and talk with Adam. The right Hebrew translation says that Adam heard the voice of G-d Hosea 11:9 I will not execute the kindling of My anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim, for I am God and not a man . In your midst is the Holy One, and I will not enter a city.

G-d time and again asks Israel to keep the law. G-d says this is not for one generation but from generation to generation for ever. G-d uses 5 different terms like "for ever", "eternally", "as long as you live in the land", "from generation to generation", "throughout your generations" . This clearly tells me G-d means it and our job is to keep his laws. Genesis 17:9 And God said to Abraham, "And you shall keep My covenant , you and your seed after you throughout their generations . Exodus 14:26  And He said, If you hearken to the voice of the Lord , your God, and you do what is proper in His eyes , and you listen closely to His commandments and observe all His statutes , all the sicknesses that I have visited upon Egypt I will not visit upon you, for I, the Lord, heal you Leviticus 18:4 You shall fulfil My ordinances and observe My statutes, to follow them. I am the Lord, your God. 5 You shall observe My statutes and My ordinanc

G-d expressed in several passages that he has chosen Israel as his chosen people. Time and again he tells them that he loves them and he will never abandon them. He also said that he will punish them if they move away from G-d so they come back to him. Exodus 34:9  and said: "If I have now found favor in Your eyes, O Lord, let the Lord go now in our midst [even] if they are a stiff necked people, and You shall forgive our iniquity and our sin and thus secure us as Your possession." 10 And He said: " Behold! I will form a covenant ; in the presence of all your people, I will make distinctions such as have not been created upon all the earth and among all the nations , and all the people in whose midst you are shall see the work of the Lord how awe inspiring it is that which I will perform with you. The tribe of a son is always established by the tribe of the father. If one is a Jew or not is decided by the mother. Below are a few of the passages that show that the father decides the tribe. Numbers 1:2 Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by families following their fathers' houses ; Numbers 1:16 These were the ones summoned by the congregation, the princes of the tribes of their fathers ; they are the heads of the thousands of Israel. Numbers 1:18 and they assembled all the congregation on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees according to their families according to their fathers' houses ; according to the number of names, a head count of every male from twenty years old and upward. Numbers 1:20 This was [the sum of] the children of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel, their descendants according to their families, according to their fathers' houses; the number of individual names of every male from twenty years

I believe only G-d can make promises that show he is in control of everything. This could be nature, the planet, universe and pretty much everything else. You will find several such passages in the Tanakh and what they tell you is G-d does not tell you something that requires you to believe by faith. When G-d says for example "I will send you into exile and you will return after 70 years" you don't need to have faith. You see it happen. When G-d says, "Babylon will be destroyed" you see Babylon fall like a pack of cards. You don't need faith. When G-d says "You will have famine for 7 years" you better stack up food because faith is not going to fill your belly. ALL [ emphasis intentional ] Greek text claims are non-verifiable and spiritual and need you to accept it by faith. Why is this? Probably because the claimant is not god! Below is a partial list of passages where Israel is referred to as G-d's Servant. Isaiah 41:8 But you Israel, My servant , Jacob who I have chosen, descendant of Abraham My friend; 9 You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called from its remotest parts, and said to you, you are My servant, I have chosen you and not rejected you. Isaiah 42:1 Behold My servant, I will support him, My chosen one, whom My soul desires; I have placed My spirit upon him, he shall promulgate justice to the nations. 2 He shall neither cry nor shall he raise [his voice]; and he shall not make his voice heard outside. 3 A breaking reed he shall not break; and a flickering flaxen wick he shall not quench; with truth shall he execute justice. 4 Neither shall he weaken nor shall he be broken, until he establishes justice in the land, and for his instruction, islands shall long. These are a few passages that talk about Israel being a blessing for the nations. Genesis 12:1 And the Lord said to Abram, "Go forth from your land and from your birthplace and from your father's house, to the land that I will show you. 2 And I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you, and I will aggrandize your name, and [you shall] be a blessing. 3 And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse, and all the families of the earth shall be blessed in you." Genesis 13:7 And the Lord appeared to Abram, and He said, "To your seed I will give this land," and there he built an altar to the Lord, Who had appeared to him. Genesis 13:14 And the Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, "Please raise your eyes and see, from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward. 15 For all the land that you see I will give to you and to your seed to eternity. 16 And I will make your seed like

There are several passages where Tanakh uses " singular nouns " for Israel, Jacob, a tribe of Israel as individual and sometimes even to a gentile. This is a style of Hebrew writing and should not mistake as grammatical errors or attribute the passage to one person like Jesus. This is a partial list  that have this style of addressing Israel in singular. Exodus 4:22 And you shall say to Pharaoh, 'So said the Lord, "My firstborn son is Israel." ' 23 So I say to you, 'Send out My son so that he will worship Me, but if you refuse to send him out, behold, I am going to slay your firstborn son.' " Isaiah 27:9  By this, then, will Jacob’s guilt be atoned for, and this will be the full fruit of the removal of his sin: When he makes all the altar stones to be like limestone crushed to pieces, no Asherah poles or incense altars will be left standing.
